Elevate The Essentials

Mike Clark + Elevate The Essentials

“Are we so busy doing the work… that we’re missing the moments that matter most?”

There was a week a while back where everything was packed — flights, sessions, meetings, catch-ups.
Every training was delivered. Every client got what they needed.
But one comment from a conversation in that week stood out — a passing comment from a participant:

“It’s the little things you guys do that set you apart.”

And it landed.

Not because we’d missed it — but because it reminded me how easy it is to let it slide when you’re stretched.

The little things that carry trust:

  • Prompt replies

  • Clear handovers

  • Showing up prepared

  • Making people feel seen

These don’t show up on a whiteboard strategy — but they make the strategy work.

So here’s a plumbline for you:

What are your non-negotiables — the 2 or 3 things every client should experience without fail?

And are they happening — consistently, and with care?

In pressured times, it’s tempting to focus on what’s urgent.
But the businesses that stand out are the ones that protect their standard — especially when it would be easier not to.

Where do you need to raise the bar — not because it’s broken, but because it matters?
