Visibility Fuels Value

Do you ever feel overlooked, despite doing great work?

Why do some teams get noticed while others stay invisible?

What difference would it make if your team’s value was seen clearly?

Here’s a hard truth:

Value is created in action, but captured in visibility.

In my experience, many businesses assume their work speaks for itself. But if no one knows the impact you’re making, don’t expect them to value it. Visibility isn’t about arrogance. It’s about stewardship – ensuring others can connect with and benefit from your work. Marketing realises the value of this in case studies and client testimonials.

I worked with a production team once who were leaders in efficiency and quality but constantly left out of strategic decisions. Why? No one knew what they were achieving. Introducing a simple weekly report where they started sharing weekly wins with the leadership team – including metrics and examples of problems solved – perceptions changed rapidly. Their visibility fuelled their value.

What about you?

Where is your team’s value currently invisible?

How could you share achievements without boasting – just clearly communicating contribution?

Are you perhaps not seeing the contribution of others because you don’t fully appreciate the intricacies of their role?

Here’s your challenge:

This week, choose one result or improvement to share with your wider team or leaders. Communicate it simply and clearly. Visibility fuels value.

Here’s to your work being seen and valued.
